The 'Techknowledgey Transfer' Project is a research trial that has been funded by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
We were asked to develop our very own software that could help increase the use of technology in small businesses offering support through student-based projects.
As part of the 'Techknowledgey Transfer' Project, we've developed an online Learn Platform that offers support to small businesses on how they can grow their social media.
We've adapted our platform to the ongoing Pandemic by offering live Q&A’s as well as online masterclasses all written, recorded and edited by our team’s individual skill sets.
We have also created one space that enables the tools to help business owners balance their work-life, allowing access to an online image bank where they can find content inspiration as well as a social calendar which they can link to their social media and schedule content.
Learn also offers a website audit where users can view how their website is doing and see if there are any SEO mistakes!
Our platform supports small businesses by offering help in the workplace through technology, but to also allows students the ability to network with local businesses to gain first-hand knowledge of career opportunities and to prepare them for the workplace. So in the future, they can start their very own business.
If the project is successful, there is potential to grow the scheme so that it will be incorporated by other academic institutions across the UK.
