Meet Evie Kay Skincare

A wonderful local brand focusing on creating beautiful artisan soaps and other handmade skincare products all inspired by our surrounding area! What started over a morning cuppa between fellow neighbours, Frances Bell and Kelvin Reay, transitioned into a business that shared a love for skincare as well as North Devon!

TO RE-BUILD THE WEBSITE OF EVIE KAY SKINCARE TO SHOWCASE THE SOAPS AS WELL AS THE BEAUTY OF NATURE AND COLOURS SURROUNDING IT THROUGH GOOD DESIGN AND QUALITY IMAGES.

The Project Details

Evie Kay reached out with their brief listing that they needed an online shop built to showcase their soaps whilst having good design and great performance for users.

From overlooking Evie Kay's current website, we were able to determine what needed updating. We established that the functions had aged over time causing errors to encounter and display issues preventing users from having a clean and easy experience that they have come to expect.

From overseeing these issues, we began to look at the overall design and how the copy wasn't being transitioned through their imagery and layout. Neither conveyed the brand nor Evie Kay's story which needed to be addressed within the new design.

With this all in mind, we decided to construct a website using Shopify which fit with the brand's budget, and taking into account how this platform makes development quick by handling all of the shop, payment and inventory systems. Shopify also meant that the website was easy to customise and SEO focused allowing a site to be built that serves its purpose well for a small, but growing brand like Evie Kay.

Once the website was built, we focused on composing high-quality and web-optimised imagery within our in-house studio demonstrating the craftsmanship behind the products and how luxurious they are.

From working with the team, we were able to craft a fully functional website that shows their story and creates a fast yet functional performance for users which is currently live today if you want to pop over and say 'hello!'. Evie Kay continues to be one of our long term brands which we have loved working with and seeing them evolve over the last few years.
